Just had two minutes nonstop of trucks driving by with pro-trump flags, honking their horns. Already unsettling, but last month the same thing happened and some of the Northampton police were leading in the parade (didn't see enough of it to see if that happened this time).
I'm pretty nervous about not just this election but its aftermath. Seeing a bunch of democracy / human rights orgs talking about the likeliness of violence post-election is scary.

@cwebber Perhaps more unsettling is that Trump encourages it, sometimes explicitly, often implicitly by not denouncing it, or joking about it.
If he loses the presidency, he doesn't lose his voice or influence.
I share your anxiety, though moreso for the nation than for my personal situation.

@mikegerwitz @cwebber There's the possibility that he'll prove to have been a useful idiot and fall from sight.
I'm not banking on this. But it's pretty obvious he's far less an inspiring or savvy leader than a useful and pliable tool. His usefulness spent, the true puppetmasters will discard him as they do anything else past its useful life.
The bad news is that they, and those susceptible to their sway, will remain.
